The third Future Creators Project event was held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Nexon Terrace (inside the Tokyo main office) decked out in Christmas decorations.
On the day of the event, a range of elementary third graders to third-year junior high school students participated in the making of Nexon character key chains using a much-talked-about 3D printer.
First, the students created 3D data using modeling software. Everyone worked earnestly with the image of the shape that they wanted to create.
Once they finished the data, it was time to use the long-awaited 3D printer. All the participants were eagerly looking at how the plastic layers built upon each other to complete a 3D product.
The event also featured special demonstrations of a 3D food printer that was still unrevealed in Japan, along with the latest hand-held 3D scanner.
We also held a tour of the Nexon office. The kids learned about a range of different jobs at a game company and got to experience a taste of the actual work.
Their eyes were glued to Nexon employees’ PCs as they learned about their jobs.
When the students got back from the office tour, their 3D key chains were done! Their uniquely original key chains were completed.
The event ended with a commemorative group photo shoot. From this day on, each and every participant is a Future Creator.
Thank you for coming!
