Turning ideas into reality, the future into power : MIRAI Creators Project

Let’s make an original Christmas tree using projection mapping!

The second MIRAI Creators Project event was a Christmas tree-making event and it was held on December 23, 2014, a national holiday in Tokyo.

On the day of the event, a range of elementary third graders to third-year junior high school students gathered at Nexon’s main office and made original Christmas trees using projection mapping, a much-talked-about, cutting-edge video technology.

The students participated in a workshop for projecting videos designed around Nexon’s popular online games including MapleStory and Mabinogi onto a Christmas tree.

We also introduced them to some of the different jobs at a game company as we toured Nexon’s office.

At the end of the event, the videos that the students made were projected in sync with music matching the light changes, displaying the games’ creative and fantastical worldview.

Please click the links below to see how the event went, along with the completed Christmas trees.

The kids’ serious looks as they worked and their smiles during the projection show made a big impression on us.

The event ended with a group photo shoot.
From this day on, each and every participant is a MIRAI Creator.

Thank you for coming!
